Zelda was found to be responsible for the ambush and death of a young German soldier. She was taken before a magistrate and sentenced to immediate hanging, without even being allowed to present any defense. The execution squad arrives at her cell. She is hauled out, stripped, and her hands bound behind her back. Then the long march to Building A-32 begins. She stands before the squad as a noose is placed around her neck. Then she's lifted onto a stool. After she utters a few last word, the Nazi SS leader kicks the stool out from under her.
